About.

Our team consists of young, energized entrepreneurs with backgrounds in biomedical engineering, medicine, and business who are earning their graduate and undergraduate degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and Saint Louis University. The team has also assembled a strong group of advisors with a wide range of experience including start-up/entrepreneurial experience, surgery, medicine and engineering.

Established in 2018

Our team began our journey in the fall of 2018, where our team came together through Sling Health. Sling health is a bio-startup incubator that supports teams in their pursuit of developing solutions to healthcare needs. From there, our team has gathered momentum and developed an alpha prototype of our product and have performed preliminary tests. We are currently in the process of continued market validation and beta prototype development.

Our Goal

Our company aims to advance the surgeon experience in a way the enhances open surgery outcomes. Our product, the In-Lumino, will have the potential to impact the 1.7 million open abdominal surgeries that are performed annually in the US and the remaining 25 million open abdominal procedures globally. We believe that within the next five years we will obtain a patent for our product, perform regulatory testing and receive FDA clearance. Toward the end of the next five years,  our company will begin our entrance into the market by obtaining a significant share of the open surgeries performed in the Midwest and then expanding towards the coasts. Our long-term goal is to continue developing products that will allow surgeons to perform surgeries to the highest standard.
